Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent

Summary:
Lead personnel in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. Assigned tasks include, but not limited to, leading, providing direction, supervising personnel in testing, calibration, and repairs of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, indicating, and control instruments / equipment. Repairs and calibrations to be performed in conformance with established standards. Assist field personnel in formulating calibration standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery. Must have working knowledge of the following topics: pH, flow, temperature, pressure, conductivity and mass measurements, AC and DC control methods, 24V 13.8 KV electrical systems and trouble shooting, VFDs, burner controls, smart meters, PLC/DCS control methods, automated systems, load cells, control valves, blueprint reading, mathematics, and preventive/predictive maintenance. Act as a Liaison between Account Manager, Customers and other company locations on and off site. Prepare setup and coordinate training seminars and activities.

Responsibilities:
1. Ability to mentor with high standards.
2. Lead employees by allocating time for one on one coaching.
3. Ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures from a local state and federal stand point.
4. Oversee that all applicable codes, standards, and specifications are being maintained, including, but not limited to NEC and state / local electrical codes.
5. Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
6. Communicate with all team members to support the development of short and long range planning in support of the companys goals and objectives
7. Teach and promote our services to the customer for value impact.
8. Meet physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements of the job will be provided to you prior to employment.
9. Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner with a quality of service according to standards.
10. Accurate administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting, work order completion, job planning, ordering materials, work load assessment and up-date / review maintenance management system (ASAP).
11. Work with scheduling to ensure all work is scheduled as required and up-dated.
12. Allocate resources as required, coordinate shut downs, contact vendors for plant and maintenance requirements.
13. Ensure that E&I Department objectives are met including key metrics, safety, and cost quality factors.

Qualifications:

Education: Possess a high school degree or an approved GED. AA degree in Industrial Instrumentation, Electronics or Industrial Electricity preferred, but not required. Ability to obtain Nebraska Journeymans Electrical License upon state required qualifications being met. Contractor electrical license (NE) within the six months.

Experience: Ten years experience in Supervisory/Management position. Ten years in the electrical trade and five years experience working in an industrial environment.
